Pablo Escobar

Pablo Escobar, the famous Colombian drug lord, had a brother named Roberto who wrote ‘The Accountant’s Story’, which chronicles Pablo’s rise from poverty to becoming one of the richest men in the world. The Medellin drug cartel was smuggling 15 tonnes of cocaine a day at the height of its power. Bearing in mind that 15 tonnes of cocaine is worth half a billion dollars, one could certainly say that the cartel was making serious money. Roberto Escobar details how he and his brother had to spend $2,500 a month purchasing rubber bands simply to wrap the stacks of money. As the money they had was so vast and also illegal, they could not put it all into the banks so they had to store it in their warehouses. Each year 10% of the whopping amount of cash was written off as “spoilage” when the rats ate the money.

Escobar’s cocaine operation began in 1975 and soon after he had 15 airplanes and 6 helicopters. Escobar’s rival Fabio Restrepo, a well known Medellin dealer, was murdered in 1975, probably by Escobar. Shortly after the murder of Restrepo, all of his men were told that they were now working for Escobar. My goodness, I would simply grab my >a href="http://www.mogani.de">damenuhren and get the hell out of there!
